What is Bile Acid Sequestrants?

One of the most effective medications in lowering down high cholesterol level is combining bile Acid sequestrants with statin. We will check what is this drug and how does it work?

Ezetimibe reduces LDL cholesterol by 18-20%. This is achieved by selectively decreasing cholesterol absorption. It can also reduce triglyceride level albeit mildly. While a good substitute for statins, it can also double to triple the effect of statins if the two are taken together. ......Read More >>
